The Future of Spirituality

The Future of Spirituality: Why It Must Be Integral , by Ken Wilber

If the Buddha, Saint Teresa, or an enlightened shaman walked into the room today, would they find themselves in need of some serious spiritual catching up to do? The answer, says Ken Wilber, is yes. Human consciousness today is experiencing a burst of accelerating shifts, and as this landscape of knowledge grows, so does the potential of our own spiritual lives. What is the evidence for this upward spiral in our spiritual intelligence? And if it’s true, how do we experience these shifts directly, within ourselves? The Future of Spirituality presents this visionary and author in a series of in-depth dialogs on the profound ways that spirituality is evolving today—and why it matters to all of

Ken Wilber is one of the most influential and widely read American philosophers of our time. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages and include Integral Spirituality, Grace and Grit, and many others. Ken Wilber lives in Denver, Colorado.

The Honeymoon Effect

The Honeymoon Effect: The Science of Creating Heaven on Earth, by Bruce Lipton

The Honeymoon Effect: A state of bliss, passion, energy, and health resulting from a huge love. Your life is so beautiful that you can’t wait to get up to start a new day and you thank the Universe that you are alive. Think back on the most spectacular love affair of your life—the Big One that toppled you head over heels. For most, it was a time of heartfelt bliss, robust health, and abundant energy. Life was so beautiful that you couldn’t wait to bound out of bed in the morning to experience more Heaven on Earth. It was the Honeymoon Effect that was to last forever. Unfortunately for most, the Honeymoon Effect is frequently short-lived. Imagine what your planetary experience would be like if you could maintain the Honeymoon Effect throughout your whole life. Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., bestselling author of The Biology of Belief, describes how the Honeymoon Effect was not a chance event or a coincidence, but a personal creation. This book reveals how we manifest the Honeymoon Effect and the reasons why we lose it. This knowledge empowers readers to create the honeymoon experience again, this time in a way that ensures a happily-ever-after relationship that even a Hollywood producer would love. With authority, eloquence, and an easy-to-read style, Lipton covers the influence of quantum physics (good vibrations), biochemistry (love potions), and psychology (the conscious and subconscious minds) in creating and sustaining juicy loving relationships. He also asserts that if we use the 50 trillion cells that live harmoniously in every healthy human body as a model, we can create not just honeymoon relationships for couples but also a “super organism” called humanity that can heal our planet.

Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., cell biologist and lecturer, is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. Bruce was on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and later performed groundbreaking stem cell research at Stanford University. He is the best-selling author of The Biology of Belief and the more recent Spontaneous Evolution, co-authored with Steve Bhaerman. Bruce received the 2009 prestigious Goi Peace Award (Japan) in honor of his scientific contribution to world harmony.

"A truly remarkable achievement . . . a lifetime of joy all delivered in one concise manuscript. I’ve read it twice, and I loved every minute I spent with it. One of my favorite reads ever" - Wayne W. Dyer

The Aaron/Q'uo Dialogues

The Aaron/Q'uo Dialogues: An Extraordinary Conversation between Two Spiritual Guides, by Barbara Brodsky and Carla L. Rueckert. Carla Rueckert’s previous writings in Secrets of the UFO (1976) and The Law of One series (1982) inspired many readers to submit transcripts of their own channeling material. One of those readers was the Buddhist teacher Barbara Brodsky, in whom Rueckert recognized a kindred spirit. Rueckert invited Brodsky to co-channel a conversation between their spirits, Aaron and Q’uo, and the result is this timely and compelling book. Developed from the transcripts of nine weekends of joint channeling, The Aaron-Q’uo Dialogues offers teachings from a “positive channeling” or “positive polarity” perspective. This perspective emphasizes, as Rueckert says, “living, thinking, and acting in service to others,” and avoiding the “negative polarity” of focusing exclusively on service to self. The Aaron-Q’uo Dialogues shows how fear—fear of being too human, fear of death and dying, fear of failing to change with the times—holds us back, limiting our full potential and enjoyment of life. Addressing questions from a wide range of spiritual seekers who attended these sessions, Aaron and Q’uo answer a host of fundamental questions for living with more awareness and compassion. With warmth and humor, these conversations offer the spiritual seeker a valuable template for living a life of selflessness and spiritual peace.

Wisdom of the Plant Devas: Herbal Medicine for a New Earth

Wisdom of the Plant Devas: Herbal Medicine for a New Earth, by Thea Summer Deer. Each plant has a story to share with us, a healing story to guide us in trying times, a spirit medicine for the New Earth that is presently unfolding. Herbs are some of the most powerful allies we have for these transitional times--we just need to learn how to listen as they share their knowledge with us.

In Wisdom of the Plant Devas, Thea Summer Deer reveals a new dimension of herbal medicine, one where the plant’s spirit is consulted for guidance and healing beyond the physical. Examining the botany, modern and traditional uses, history, and folklore of 13 special herbs, such as rosemary, uva ursi, and datura, she shares divinations and messages from their devas, or plant spirits, explaining how these stories carry the herbs into our lives, letting them work their magic on us. Exploring herbal medicine from an energetic perspective, she reveals that by communing with the deva of a plant, we can call on the plant’s physical, psychological, and spiritual medicine and guidance--without ingesting it or even being in its presence.

Detailing the sacred space of a Medicine Wheel Garden, whether in a backyard or our imaginations, she connects us with the devas and empowers us to seek our own answers with their much-needed spiritual guidance and divinatory advice. Creating a bridge between botanical medicine and plant spirit medicine, she shows how by coming into community with the devas and co-creating with the world of nature, we can gain tremendous insights to help heal our hearts, our minds, and our spirits and consciously evolve as together we birth the New Earth.

The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth

The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth, by Dolores Cannon. This is a fascinating narrative that reveals the cosmic forces that have been in play over the past 66 years. Help has come from the outside to preserve the human race. In 1945 when the atomic bombs, our "protectors" and "watchers" in outer space saw that Earth was on a collision course with disaster. The prime directive of non-interference prevented them from taking any action, but then they came up with a brilliant plan to save Earth and assist her in her ascension. They couldn't interfere from the "outside," but maybe they could influence from the "inside." So the call went out for volunteers to come and help. "Earth is in trouble - who wants to volunteer?"

Dolores Cannon, through her hypnosis work has discovered three waves of these volunteers. Some have come direct from the "Source" and have never lived in any type of physical body before. Others have lived as space beings on other planets or other dimensions. Because all memory is erased upon entry to the Earth dimension, they do not remember their assignment. Thus these beautiful souls have a difficult time adjusting to our chaotic world. These souls have a vital role to play as they help all of the rest of us ascend to the New Earth.

Incarnation: The History and Mysticism of the Tulku Tradition of Tibet

Incarnation: The History and Mysticism of the Tulku Tradition of Tibet, by Tulku Thondup. The best-selling author of The Healing Power of Mind presents a historical overview and detailed explanation of the phenomenon of incarnate enlightened beings, known as tulkus in Tibetan. A tulku, out of kindness for beings, is born again and again as a teacher who dedicates his or her life to serving others, specifically through sharing the teachings of the Buddha. He or she is usually recognized by those well-trained friends and students who were close to the previous incarnation and who have the appropriate insight to recognize their deceased master in the form of a very young child. Throughout the history of Tibetan Buddhism, tulkus have been the standard-bearers of the tradition and providers of spiritual and social guidance for both the ordained and the lay people of that culture.

The book covers the following topics: the fundamental principle of the tulku; the three kinds of tulkus; the methods for recognizing tulkus; stories of tulkus' miracles and clairvoyance; the goals fulfilled by them; the roles tulkus have played in history; and the attainments they have displayed at death.

The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide

The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide: Safe, Therapeutic, and Sacred Journeys, by James Fadiman. Called “America’s wisest and most respected authority on psychedelics and their use,” James Fadiman has been involved with psychedelic research since the 1960s. In this guide to the immediate and long-term effects of psychedelic use for spiritual (high dose), therapeutic (moderate dose), and problem-solving (low dose) purposes, Fadiman outlines best practices for safe, sacred entheogenic voyages learned through his more than 40 years of experience--from the benefits of having a sensitive guide during a session (and how to be one) to the importance of the setting and pre-session intention.

Fadiman reviews the newest as well as the neglected research into the psychotherapeutic value of visionary drug use for increased personal awareness and a host of serious medical conditions, including his recent study of the reasons for and results of psychedelic use among hundreds of students and professionals. He reveals new uses for LSD and other psychedelics, including extremely low doses for improved cognitive functioning and emotional balance. Cautioning that psychedelics are not for everyone, he dispels the myths and misperceptions about psychedelics circulating in textbooks and clinics as well as on the internet. Exploring the life-changing experiences of Ram Dass, Timothy Leary, Aldous Huxley, and Huston Smith as well as Francis Crick and Steve Jobs, Fadiman shows how psychedelics, used wisely, can lead not only to healing but also to scientific breakthroughs and spiritual epiphanies. Secret History of Consciousness

Secret History of Consciousness, The: Ancient Keys to Our Future Survival, by Meg Blackburn Losey. What do the so called sacred sites all over the world have to do with consciousness? Is it possible that the ancients left us keys to who we really are and what we are capable of? What does sacred geometry really have to do with these sites, our consciousness and even the symbology of world religions? How does all of this tie together to literally solve the meaning of the Mayan Calendar? The Secret History of Consciousness answers these questions and more as the author simply and logically relates the tangible with the intangible from reality on the earth plane to worlds far beyond. As she weaves the facts together, the author shares her intimate story of finding her way out of third dimensional reality and into worlds beyond where she met and interacted with her "Guys" as she lovingly calls them, as they taught her about life, consciousness, the sciences, multi-dimensional reality, star gate systems, worm holes, genetic and conscious evolution and so much more. Finally, a book that pulls metaphysical reality into a clear and comprehensible set of information in conjunction with the sciences and tangible proof that will blow your mind.

Through a series of personal crises, seekings, and synchronistic events, Dr. Meg Losey learned to channel wisdom from Masters from the past, the present, and off planet and learned this basic truth: "Reality isn't happening to us--we are happening to reality. We really do create our experiences, and we can change them at any time by changing our perceptions. We are the consciousness within the living One."

In this new book, she reveals the secrets that were known to the ancients but lost to the modern world. Secrets about consciousness and the relevance of sacred sites from around the globe. She uncovers the true meaning of the Mayan Calendar and links sacred geometry, the Kaballah, the Flower of Life, the Pyramids, Atlantis, Lemuria, and more to reveal that these ancient secrets show us that we are all unlimited beings of creation. Dr. Meg invites us to open our minds and hearts to the meaning of our shared and hidden history and offers simple meditations that will allow each and every one of us to become conscious of the change we are creating together.

Conversations on Consciousness: What the Best Minds Think about the Brain, Free Will, and What It Means to Be Human

Conversations on Consciousness: What the Best Minds Think about the Brain, Free Will, and What It Means to Be Human, by Susan Blackmore. Human brains are just the most complicated thing that's yet evolved, and we're trying to understand them using our brains, notes philosopher Daniel Dennett. "We're trying to reverse engineer ourselves, to understand what kind of a machine we are." In Conversations on Consciousness, Susan Blackmore brings together some of the great minds of our time, a who's who of eminent thinkers, all of whom have devoted much of their lives to understanding "what kind of a machine we are." Some of the interviewees are major philosophers (such as John Searle, Ned Block, and David Chalmers) and some are equally renowned scientists (Francis Crick, Roger Penrose, V.S. Ramachandran). All of them talk candidly with Blackmore about some of the key philosophical issues confronting us, in a series of conversations that are revealing, insightful, and stimulating. They ruminate on the nature of consciousness--is it something apart from the brain? Is it even possible to understand the brain, to understand human consciousness? Some of these thinkers say no, it isn't possible, but most believe that we will pierce the mystery surrounding consciousness, and that neuroscience will provide the key. Blackmore goes beyond the issue of consciousness to ask other intriguing questions: Is there free will (a question which yields many conflicted replies, with most saying yes and no); if no, how does this effect the way you live your life; and more broadly, how has your work changed the way you live. Ranging from the curious (do bees have consciousness?) to the profound (is our sense of having a self just an illusion), these provocative conversations illuminate current thinking on the mind and on human nature itself.
