Pythagoras

Pythagoras: The Mathemagician, by Karim El-Koussa. This historical novel is based on the life of Pythagoras, who taught that each soul reflects the whole universe, and reincarnates eternally. Foretold by a prophecy at Delphi to be a kind of a savior to humankind, he was instructed by the priests of Jebel, Sayda, Tyre and Mt. Carmel, and initiated at Egypt's Pyramids. Exiled to Babylon, he studied with the Zoroastrians, Chaldeans and Gymnosophists. Around 500 BC, he died in a terrorist attack on the Temple of the Muses.
